(ii) An institution of higher education and or a public senior higher
education institution, under Title 10 of the Education Article;
(iii) The Comptroller of the Treasury Maryland Food Center Authority,
(iv) The Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund;
(v) The Maryland Stadium Authority; and Environmental Service;
(vi) The Injured Workers Workers' Insurance Fund.;
(vii) The Maryland Economic Development Corporation; and
(viii) The Maryland Transportation Authority;
(2) (4) Except as provided in paragraph (5) of this section and Section 8 or
Section 9 of this Act, an employee who elects the early retirement incentive under this
section of this Act shall retire on October 1, 1996;
(5) (i) An employee who has timely filed an application in accordance
with paragraph (1) or paragraph (2) of this section of this Act but who does not satisfy the
eligibility requirements of paragraph (1) or paragraph (2) of this section of this Act by
August 31, 1996, shall retire on the first day of the month following the month in which
the employee becomes eligible to retire under this Act; and
(ii) An employee who has timely filed an application in accordance
with paragraph (2) (i) 2 paragraph (2)(i) of this section of this Act and who does satisfy
the eligibility requirements as of the effective date of retirement specified in the
application shall retire on the first day of the month following the month in which the
employee files the application.;
(3) (6) (i) Except as provided in subparagraph (ii) of this paragraph, an
application to retire under this section of this Act is irrevocable; and
(ii) The Secretary of Budget and Fiscal Planning may allow a member
to revoke an application if that member has experienced extenuating circumstances since
submitting the application, and the member submits a written request to the Secretary for
a revocation of the member's application; and
(iii) If a member revokes an application for retirement that is allowed
under subparagraph (ii) of this paragraph, the Secretary of Budget and Fiscal Planning
shall notify the Board of Trustees of the revocation not later than 2 weeks after the
revocation;
(4) (7) (i) Except as provided in subparagraph (ii) of this paragraph, a
member who retires under this section of this Act shall receive an additional 2 months 1
month of credit for each full year of the member's creditable service;
(ii) For any part of a year of creditable service that is at least 6 months
one-half of one year, the member shall receive an additional 2 months 1 month of credit;
