8-702.
Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment provisions of the Maryland Program
Evaluation Act, this title and all regulations adopted under this title shall terminate on
October 1, [1996] 2002.
Article - State Government
8-403.
(i) EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (E) OF THIS SECTION,
ON OR BEFORE OCTOBER 1, 2001, AN EVALUATION SHALL BE MADE OF THE
MARYLAND HOME IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION.
(J) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (e) of this section, on or before
July 1, 2004, an evaluation shall be made of the State Board of Dietetic Practice
established under the Health Occupations Article and the regulations that relate to the
State Board of Dietetic Practice.
[(j)] (K) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (e) of this section, on or
before July 1, 2003, an evaluation shall be made of the State Board of Public Accountancy
established under the Business Occupations and Professions Article and the regulations
that relate to the State Board of Public Accountancy.
[(k)](L) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (e) of this section, on or
before July 1, 2004, an evaluation shall be made of the State Board of Acupuncture and
the regulations that relate to the State Board of Acupuncture.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1996.

AN ACT concerning
District Court - Civil Jurisdiction
FOR the purpose of altering the civil jurisdiction of the District Court to include certain
cases involving not more than a certain amount in controversy; providing that
certain amounts in controversy that determine whether the District Court has
jurisdiction in certain cases shall be exclusive of costs and interest; providing that a
certain amount in controversy that determines whether the District Court and a trial
court of general jurisdiction have concurrent jurisdiction in certain cases shall be
exclusive of costs and interest; providing for the application of this Act; and
generally relating to the civil jurisdiction of the District Court.
