NOTE

One hundred thirty-seven bills were vetoed by the Governor following the 1995
Regular Session of the General Assembly. Sixty-one of these bills originated in the
Senate and seventy-six of them originated in the House of Delegates. Pursuant to the
provisions of Section 17 of Article II of the Constitution of Maryland, these bills will be
returned to the General Assembly immediately after the Legislature has organized at the
next Regular or Special Session, to be reconsidered in order to determine whether the
veto is sustained or overridden. Senate Bill 860 is placed out of order because it was
enacted by the General Assembly, presented to the Governor, and vetoed by him prior to
adjournment.
