CHAPTER 633
(House Bill 1219)

AN ACT concerning

Mobile Seafood Vendors - Local Regulation

FOR the purpose of providing that certain statutory provisions are not intended to
diminish any authority of a county or Baltimore City certain counties to license or
regulate mobile seafood vendors.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
Article - Transportation
Section 1-101(a) and (e)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1993 Replacement Volume and 1994 Supplement)

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - Transportation
Section 24-302
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1992 Replacement Volume and 1994 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows;

Article - Transportation

1-101.

(a) In this article the following words have the meanings indicated.

(e) "County" means a county of this State and Baltimore City.
24-302.

This subtitle does not:

(1)     Diminish any authority of a COUNTY OR ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY,
HOWARD COUNTY, OR A
municipal corporation to license and regulate mobile seafood
vendors;

(2)     Apply to charitable or nonprofit vendors who sell seafood at short-term
festivals or other short-term events; or

(3)     Apply in Calvert County and in St. Mary's County for those persons
selling their own catch.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1995.
