MEMBER is authorized to certify to the Commission "a local development commission"
and to perform any and all acts required and necessary to carry out the provisions of this
subtitle or said "Appalachian Regional Development Act of 1965", as amended from time
to time.

Article 83B - Department of Housing and Community Development

1-204.

(a) The following agencies, boards, commissions, councils, corporations,
authorities, trusts, and divisions shall be included within the Department:

(1)     Division of Housing Finance;

(2)     Maryland Housing Policy Commission;

(3)     Community Development Administration;

(4)     Division of Housing Credit Assurance;

(5)     Maryland Housing Fund;

(6)     Division of Community Assistance;

(7)     Division of Historical and Cultural Programs;

(8)     Historic St. Mary's City Commission;

(9)     Commission on Afro-American History and Culture;

(10)   Commission on Indian Affairs; AND

(11)   Maryland Historical Trust [; and

(12)   The Maryland membership unit of the Appalachian Regional
Commission].

4-101.

(a)     There is a Division of Community Assistance as an organizational unit within
the Department of Housing and Community Development.

(b)     The Division of Community Assistance includes:

(1)     The Community Assistance Administration;

(2)     The Neighborhood Housing Services Fund;

(3)     The Community Services Program;

(4)     The MARYLAND STATE Appalachian [Regional Development
Program] HOUSING FUND;

(5)     The State Action Loans for Targeted Areas Program; and

(6)     The administration of statewide building and material codes established
under Title 6 of this article.
