Handy his executors administrators and assigns forever In witness whereof I hereunto subscribe my name and affix my seal this fifteenth day of may in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Fifty two Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of David M. Corkran (seal) James Rea J. P State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit On this Fifteenth day of May in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty two personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in and for the body of Dorchester County aforesaid David M Corkran party grantor in the above bill of sale and acknowledged the above bill of sale to be his act and deed and I am satisfied from my own knowledged that the said David M. Corkran who professes to be the party grantor in the above bill of sale is the same person who executed and acknowledged the same before me at the same time personally appeared Doctor Thomas H. Handy party grantee in the above bill of sale and made oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration mentioned in the above bill of sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth according to the act of Assembly in such case made and provided Acknowledged before James Rea J. P. Received June 2.d 1852 of Dr Thomas H. Handy the sum of one dollar in lieu of a stamp on this Bill of sale Francis J. Henry Clerk James Baynard Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that Exd from 65 the following Bill of Sale was received and recorded John Hawkins on the 11.th day of June 1852 to wit Know all men by these presents that I John Hawkins of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars current money to me in hand paid by James Baynard of the County and in the said State at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof John Hawkins do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the James Baynard his executors administrators and assigns all the goods herein named To wit 1 4 wheel Carriage one cart 3 head of Hogs 1 Gray horse all the goods and chattels still remaining Hawkins Land and being in a certain message or tenement estimated in The Town of Cambridge and now in the occupation James Baynard to have and to hold all & singular the said goods and for other premises thereas bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said James Baynard his executors administrators and assigns forever |
