328. and which said slaves, Fortune, Lucy, Leah & Minty, I will warrant and defend to the said Thomas King Carroll J.r his Executors, Administrators and Assigns, against me, my Executors and Administrators, and against every other person or persons whomsoever. In Witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my name & also affixed my seal this twenty eighth day of March one thousand eight hundred & fifty one. In presence of Hugh Nield (Seal) James Hammersly State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit: Be it remembered that on this twenty eighth day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifty one, before me the subscriber, one of the Justices of the Peace of the said State in & for the County aforesaid, personally appeared Hugh Nield, party to the within or aforegoing Bill of Sale or instrument of writing and acknowledged the said Bill of sale to be his act & deed. Acknowledged before me James Hammersly. State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit: On this 28.th day of March in the year 1851, before me the subscriber, one of the Justices of the Peace of said State for Dorchester County, personally appears Thomas King Carroll J.r and makes Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the consideration set for in the within or aforegoing Bill of sale is true & bona fide as therein set forth. Sworn before me James Hammersly Ellinor North Be it remembered that the following Bill of Paid from 75 Sale was recorded on the 11.th day of April 1851. W.m Y. Woolford Know all men by these presents that I, William Y. Woolford of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred dollars, current money, to me in hand paid by Ellender North of the State and County foresaid, at & before the sealing & delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof I, the said William Y Woolford, do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained & sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain & sell unto the said Ellenor North, her heirs, Executors and Administrators and Assigns, all the goods, house hold stuff, implements & furniture herein after mentioned, expressed & contained, To wit: One Negro Boy named Abraham, one Bed stead & furniture, one Table, one Safe, one Bed stead & furniture, 1 Carpet, one rocking chair, two pair And irons, one pair of Shovel & Tongs two pair Waiters, one Sidboard, one pair glass Lamps, one lot of Queens Ware, one pair of Candle sticks, thirty cords of Pine wood, Crop of wheat wheat on the ground, two Iron Pots, two Tea Kettles, one Oven, two Spiders; all & singular which said goods Del.d to W.m Y. Woolford Decr 23.d 1851. |
