appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in & for said County, George G. Harmon,
party Mortgagor, and Acknowledged the within & aforegoing Mortgage Bill of sale, to be
his Act & deed, according to the purport, true intent & meaning of the same; and
at the same time came before me, Levin Jones J. P. party Mortgage within mentioned,
and made Oath, on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God, that the consideration,
set forth in this Mortgage Bill of sale, is true & bona fide, as therein set
forth, according to the true meaning of the Act of Assembly of 1846, Chapter
271, made & provided.      Acknowledged before                  James Rea

Rec.d of Levin Jones one dollar & fifty cents in lieu of a stamp on this
Mortgage Bill of sale.      Feb.y 21 1850              Wm Jackson   clk.


James E. Hall's              Be it remembered & it is hereby certified that the
Certificate of Slaves      following Certificate &c was recorded on the 22.d
                   Ex.d   50   day of February in the year 1850, To wit:
List of Negro Slaves belonging to James E. Hall.
Negro man Selby aged 52 years.  Negro Woman Nancy aged 50 years.
Negro Man Robert aged 33 years.  Negro Woman Hannah aged 30 years.
Negro Man Edward aged 23 years.  Negro Boy David aged 18 years.
Negro Girl Mary aged 15 years.  Negro Girl Isabel aged 8 years.
Negro Girl Ann aged 9 years.  Negro Girl Clara Jane aged 5 years.
Negro  Girl Harriet aged 5 years.  Negro Boy Robert aged 2 years
Negro Girl Hester aged 2 years.
State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit:  Personally appeared before me
the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland, for the body of
Dorchester County, on this 18.th day of February in the year 1850, James E. Hall
of the said State & County, and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty
God that the above is a true & faithful list of Negro Slaves belonging to
him, and that he has removed said Negroes to this state from the State of
Delaware, as slaves for life, and not for the purpose of sale.  Sworn to before
me this 18.th day of Feb.y 1850.                                 Charles Corkran.

State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit:   Personally appeared
before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland for
the body of Dorchester County, on this 18.th day of February in the year 1850.
James E. Hall of the said State & County, and made Oath on the Holy
Evangely of Almighty God that he has removed into said State and
County, and that it is his bona fide intention to become a citizen of the
same.      Sworn to before me this 18.th day of February in the year 1850.
