141. Executors, Administrators, and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever, shall and will warrant & forever defend by these presents of all and singular which said Goods & Chattels, and other Premises, I the said Edward A. Marshall have put the said Miss Margaret Capito in full possession by delivering to her, the said Miss Margaret Capito one sofa and rocking Chair at the sealing & delivery of these presents, in the name of the whole Goods & Chattels, and other Premises hereby bargained & sold, or mentioned, or intended, to be so, unto her the said Miss Margaret Capito as aforesaid. In Witness whereof I have hereby set my hand & seal this 30.th day of November in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty eight. Edwd A. Marshall (Seal) State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit: Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that on this thirtieth day of November 1848, before the subscriber, two Justices of the Peace of the state of Maryland in and for the County of Dorchester afs.d, personally appears Edward A. Marshall, he being known to us to be the person who is named and described as, and professing to be a party to the foregoing Bill of sale, or instrument of Writing to be his Act & deed In testimony whereof we have hereunto subscribe our names on the day and year aforesaid. James Rea (seal) Charles Corkran (seal) I hereby Certify that Miss Margaret Capito, of Chambersburg, County of Franklin, State of Pensylvania, personally appeared before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace in the state of Maryland, and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that the sum of one hundred and twenty dollars, mentioned in the aforegoing instrument of writing is legally and lawfully due to her, by and from the said Edward A. Marshall, that the said instrument is given for & in consideration of the said sum of money. As Witness whereof I hereby set my hand and seal this 30.th day of November 1848.
