Garret McBride Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale from Ex.d was recorded on the 5.th day of July 1847, To wit: Elijah Hurst {Stamp} Know all men by these presents that I {one dol.} Elijah Hurst for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred dollars to me in hand paid by Garret McBride have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Garret McBride my Negro Woman named Ann to serve for the term of thirty years from January 27 1837 and her Boy child Isaac aged one year slave for life and sound in body & mind To have and to hold the said Negro Woman Ann servant for the term of thirty years from the date aforesaid and her Boy child Isaac aged one year Slave for life as above bargained and sold unto the said Garret McBride, his heirs, executors, Administrators and Assigns against me the said Elijah Hurst, my heirs, executors and Administrators and against all and every other person shall & will warrant and defend.
