State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit:   On this 25.th day of September
1848, before me the subscriber, a Justice of the Peace, in and for
the said County and state, personally appeared Richard Tall, Adm.r of
Joseph Tall, and Acknowledged the above Bill of sale or instrument
of Writing, to be          Act and deed, according to the true intent and
meaning thereof.          Acknowledged before         Charles Corkran
Dorchester County Sct.  On the 25.th September 1848.  Then came
John W. D. Travers and made Oath on the Holy Evangely of
Almighty God that the consideration set forth in this Bill of
Sale is true and bona fide as therein set forth.

Peter G. Le Compte           Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale
  Ex.d       from         75      was recorded on the 4.th day of October 1848, To wit:
Abraham Parker                 Know all men by these presents that I Abraham
                                          Parker of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland
for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars
current money to me in hand paid by Peter G. Le Compte of same County
in the said state, at and before the sealing & delivering of these presents,
the receipt whereof I the said Abraham Parker do hereby acknowledge,
have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant,
bargain & sell, unto the said Peter G. Le Compte, his Executors, Administrators
and Assigns, all the Goods, Cattle, Swine &c particularly
mentioned, that is to say, 5 head Hogs, Ear mark hole in the right and underslit
in the left, 2 red cows & 2 Calves, one Brindle Heifer white back, one red &
white Steer, 25 Barrels Corn, four hundred lbs Blades, 2 stacks Top Fodder,
two Beds & furniture, one Ox Cart, 15 head Geese, 9 dunghill hens, all
and singular which said goods and Chattels are now remaining and being
in the possession of the said Peter G. Le Compte.  To have and to hold
all and singular the said Goods & chattels, house hold stuff & furniture, and
other the premises above bargained and sold, or mentioned and intended so
to be, to the said Peter G. Le Compte, his Executors, Administrators and
Assigns forever, and I the said Abraham Parker, for myself, my heirs,
Executors and Administrators, all and singular the said goods, Household
stuff and furniture, and other the premises, unto the said Peter G.
Le Compte, his Executors, Administrators and Assigns, against me the
said Abraham Parker, my Executors and Administrators, and against
all and every other person or persons whatsoever, shall and will warrant
and forever defend by these presents; of all and singular which said goods,
household stuff and furniture and other the premises I the said Abraham
Parker have put the said Peter G. Le Compte in full possession
of by delivering up to him the said Peter G. Le Compte all the said
property herein before mentioned, at the sealing and delivery of these
