428. State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following Bond was recorded from Ex.d on this 19.th day of April 1847, To wit: William Kirwan [Stamp] Know all men by these presents that we & others [one doll.] William Kirwan, John W. Hayward and William Bell of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the state of Maryland in the full and just sum of Two thousand dollars current money of the United States to be paid to the said state or its Attorney to the which payment well & truly to be made & done we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated this 19.th day of April 1847. The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bounden William Kirwan shall well and truly execute the office of Constable in Election District number five in Dorchester County in all things appertaining thereto and shall well and truly account for all monies placed in his hands for Collection and shall also well and truly pay all sums of Money received by him then the above obligation to be void otherwise of full force and virtue in law. Signed, sealed & delivered William Kirwan (L S) in the presence of John W. Hayward (L S) John Muir James Smith William Bell (L S) Dorchester County, To wit: on the 19.th day of April 1847 personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid John Muir & James Smith and made the following Oath, To wit: "We John Muir & James Smith subscribing witnesses to the above Bond do make oath that William Kirwan, John W. Hayward and William Bell obligors mentioned in the said Bond did severally in our presence sign, seal & deliver the said Bond as their Act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned. Sworn before me on the day above mentioned. Sworn before Robert Bell J. P. Meekins [Stamp] Know all men by these presents that we & others [one doll.] George H Meekins, John W. Hayward and Samuel I. Meekins of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the state of Maryland in the full and just sum of Two thousand dollars current money of the United States to be paid to the said state or its attorney to the which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally |
