personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace
in and for the County aforesaid Thomas H. Hicks and Thomas H. Hooper
and made the following Oath, To wit:  We, Thomas H. Hicks and
Thomas H. Hooper subscribing Witnesses to the within and above
Bond do make Oath that James R. Donoho, George W. Hurley
and Josiah Layton obligors mentioned in the said Bond did
severally in our presence sign, seal and deliver the said Bond
as their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned.
Sworn before me on the day above mentioned.  Robert Bell   J. P.
June 16 1846 Bond and sureties by me approved

State of M.d      Be it remembered that the following Bond was
Ex.d   from         recorded on the 22.d day of June 1846, To wit:
W.m Creighton   Maryland Sct.  Know all men by these presents
                          that we William Creighton, William Rea,
State of Maryland Stamp      Jeremiah C. Wright and John R. Creighton of
             Six        Dorchester County are held and firmly bound unto
          dollars      the State of Maryland in the full and just sum
of fifteen thousand dollars current money of the United States
to be paid to the State of Maryland to the which payment well
and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves and every of
us our and every of our heirs, executors and administrators in
the whole and for the whole jointly and severally firmly by these
presents.  Sealed with our seals and dated this 10 day of June
in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
forty six.  The Conditions are such that if the above bound
William Creighton shall well and faithfully discharge the duties
of Treasurer of the Primary Schools of Dorchester County according
to law then the above Obligation shall be void otherwise
it is to be and remain in full force & virtue in law.
