                                  I Charles Corkran a Justice of the peace of the
State of Maryland in and for Dorchester County do hereby certify that John
Newton and John Muir this day appeared before me and took the following
Oath.  We John Newton and John Muir subscribing witnesses to the within
Bond do make oath that the obligors mentioned in said Bond did severally
in our presence sign, seal and deliver the said Bond as their act and deed for
the purposes therein mentioned.  Given under my hand this 18.th day of April
1844.  Sworn before                                                         Charles Corkran
Approved by order the Commissioners April 1844.           William Rea Clerk


State of Maryland      Be it remembered that the following Bond was recorded
          from   Ex.d      on the 15.th day of April 1844.  To wit:
James N. Wright        Know all men by these presents that we James N. Wright
                                  Thomas Seward and John Parvin of Dorchester County in the
State of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the
full and just sum of two thousand dollars current money of the United States to be paid
to the said State or its certain Attorney to the which payment well and truly to be made
and done we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators jointly & severally
firmly by these presents.  Sealed with our seals and dated this 15 day of April 1844.
The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden James
N. Wright shall well and truly execute the office of Constable of Election district
N.o 8 in all things appertaining thereto and shall also well and truly account
for all moneys placed in his hands for collection and shall also well & truly
pay all sums of Money received by him then the obligation to be void otherwise
of full force and virtue in law.

Algernon Thomas

                                     Dorchester County to wit:  on the 15 day of April
1844 personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for
the County aforesaid John Newton and Algernon Thomas and made the following Oath
To wit:  "We John Newton & Algernon Thomas subscribing witnesses to the above Bond
do make Oath that James N. Wright Thomas Seward and John Parvin obligors
mentioned in the said Bond did severally in our presence sign, seal and deliver the
said Bond as their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned.  Sworn before
me on the day above mentioned                                          Charles Corkran
