REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 73B, § 7-301(a)(1) and (2)(i) and (iii) through (v), as
they related to eligibility service.

The term "eligibility service" is substituted for "[c]reditable service" to reflect
that the service credit being described in this section is the service credit
recognized to determine eligibility for a benefit. See § 25-307 for a description
of "creditable service".

Former Art. 73B, § 7-301(a)(2)(ii) is revised in § 25-307 of this subtitle.

25-304. SAME — REDEPOSIT OF ACCUMULATED CONTRIBUTIONS. .

A MEMBER OF THE CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS' RETIREMENT SYSTEM WHO
PREVIOUSLY TERMINATED MEMBERSHIP AND WITHDREW ACCUMULATED
CONTRIBUTIONS FROM EITHER THE CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS' RETIREMENT
SYSTEM, THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM, OR THE TEACHERS' RETIREMENT
SYSTEM MAY RECEIVE SERVICE CREDIT FOR THE PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT DURING
THE PREVIOUS MEMBERSHIP IF THE MEMBER REDEPOSITS IN A SINGLE PAYMENT
THE WITHDRAWN ACCUMULATED CONTRIBUTIONS PLUS REGULAR INTEREST TO
THE DATE OF REDEPOSIT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 73B, § 7-304.

The phrase "period of employment during the previous membership" is
substituted for "previous service" to reflect that the term "service" is no longer
defined.

The former reference to making a deposit in "this system" is deleted as
unnecessary. In the Correctional Officers' Retirement System, all deposits are
made to the Board of Trustees.
