(i) (1) The Governor may remove a member for incompetence, misconduct,
continued neglect of duties imposed by this subtitle, unprofessional conduct, or
dishonorable conduct.
(2) The Governor shall remove a member whom the Governor finds to have
been absent from 2 successive Board meetings without adequate reason.

Subject to the evaluation and reestablishment provisions of the Program Evaluation
Act, this title and all rules and regulations adopted under this title shall terminate and be
of no effect after July 1, [2003] 1999.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the term of office of each
member of the State Board of Dental Examiners who is serving on the Board on the
effective date of this Act shall expire on September 30, 1994.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, on October 1, 1994, the
Governor shall appoint a new State Board of Dental Examiners in accordance with the
provisions of § 4-202 of the Health Occupations Article.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms of the
members of the State Board of Dental Examiners appointed on October 1, 1994 shall
expire as follows:
(1) 3 in 1996;
(2) 3 in 1997;
(3) 4 in 1998; and
(4). 4 in 1999.
SECTION 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1994.

the membership and staff support of the Commission; authorizing a member of the
