Ch. 140 1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND renovation or addition projects requiring approval by the State Superintendent of BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF Article - Education 2-303. (f) (1) This subsection does not apply to Baltimore City. (2) Subject to the bylaws, rules, and regulations of the State Board, the State Superintendent shall approve or disapprove each: (i) Proposal for the purchase Or sale of any ground, school site, or building; (ii) Plan or specification for the remodeling of a school building if the (iii) Plan or specification for the construction of a new school building; (iv) Change order that costs more than $25,000 for the remodeling, (3) If the State Superintendent disapproves any plan, specification, (4) If the construction is to be done by a county board, the board may not (5) If the construction is to be done by contract, the contract is invalid SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect Approved May 2, 1994. - 1452 -
