Ch. 115 1994 LAWS OF MARYLAND
Sixty-Eight Dollars ($344,473,068), the proceeds to be used for certain necessary
building, construction, demolition, planning, design, renovation, conversion,
replacement, and capital equipment purchases of this State, and for acquiring
certain real estate in connection therewith, and for grants to certain subdivisions
and other organizations for certain purposes, subject to the requirement that certain
grantees provide certain matching funds of a certain type by a certain date;
providing generally for the issuance and sale of bonds evidencing the loan; providing
for certain unexpended appropriations in prior Capital Budgets and Bond Acts to
be expended for other public projects; amending a prior Bond Act to correct an
error in the total amount of the authorization; extending the time on the availability
of funds for certain unexpended appropriations in prior Capital Budgets; altering
the matching fund provisions that apply to certain capital grants; altering the
purposes of certain capital grants; altering certain provisions of the Construction
Contingency Fund; authorizing the State Board of Public Works to issue revenue bonds
to design, construct, and equip a Law Enforcement Driver Training Facility under
certain circumstances; setting the maximum amount of revenue bonds to be issued for
this project at $13 $13.8 million; requiring that the court fees collected by the District
Court and deposited into the Law Enforcement and Correctional Training Fund be
pledged to pay all project costs including principal, interest, fees, and all expenses
associated with issuing the revenue bonds; repealing the termination date for distributing
revenues to the Law Enforcement and Correctional Training Fund; repealing altering
. restrictions on obligating Law Enforcement and Correctional Training Fund revenues for
this capital project; repealing the requirement to transfer $5,000,000 from the Law
Enforcement and Correctional Training Fund to the General Fund on or before June 30,
1994; generally relating to the issuance of revenue bonds to finance the Law
Enforcement Driver Training Facility and to the Law Enforcement and Correctional
Training Fund; altering certain provisions relating to the Law Enforcement and
Correctional Training Fund; requiring certain appropriations for certain purposes;
providing for the effective date of this Act and making certain provisions subject to
certain circumstances; requiring certain information; and generally relating to the
financing of certain capital projects.
