(d) A striped bass stamp shall be attached to the holder's Chesapeake Bay sport
fishing license or consolidated senior sport fishing license. The striped bass stamp shall
expire at the same time as the license to which it is attached.
(e) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (a) of this section, a person who
employs a fishing guide licensed under § 4-210 of this title may not be required to obtain
a striped bass stamp in order to possess striped bass taken while employing the fishing
guide during a striped bass season. A fishing guide shall obtain nonreusable striped bass
tags from the Department IF REQUIRED, and shall reimburse the Department for the
cost of the tags.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1993.

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed House Bill 555.
This bill would establish a comprehensive program for regulating specified rechargeable
batteries.
Senate Bill 601, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May 27,
1993, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House
Bill 555.

AN ACT concerning
Rechargeable Batteries
FOR the purpose of requiring certain rechargeable batteries, cells, and rechargeable
products sold after a certain date by certain persons to certain users to be covered
by certain unit management programs; requiring certain rechargeable batteries
contained in certain products manufactured after a certain date to be easily
removed, with certain exceptions; requiring certain units or associated materials to
contain certain information after a certain date; prohibiting certain entities from
enacting certain additional labeling requirements; requiring certain persons to
