(3) Subject to the provisions of § 13-507(c)(2) of this subtitle, a salvage
certificate issued under this paragraph shall contain a conspicuous notation by the
Administration that describes which of the statements under paragraph (2)(ii) of this
subsection applies to the vehicle.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 537.

This bill would establish procedures for the redomestication of a foreign health
maintenance organization (HMO) with a certificate of authority to operate in Maryland
to become a Maryland domestic HMO.

House Bill 895, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on May 27,
1993, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 537.

AN ACT concerning

Health Maintenance Organizations - Redomestication

FOR the purpose of establishing certain procedures for a foreign health maintenance
organization with a certificate of authority to operate a health maintenance
organization in the State to become a domestic health maintenance organization;
requiring a foreign health maintenance organization that becomes a domestic health
maintenance organization to receive certain recognition; providing for the
continuation of certain operations and subscriber contracts of a foreign health
maintenance organization that transfers its corporate domicile under certain
circumstances; imposing certain notice requirements; providing for the effective
date of this Act; and generally relating to redomestication of health maintenance
organizations.
