One hundred bills were vetoed by the Governor following the 1993 Regular Session
of the General Assembly. Forty-eight of these bills originated in the Senate and fifty-two
of them originated in the House of Delegates. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 17 of
Article II of the Constitution of Maryland, these bills will be returned to the General
Assembly immediately after the Legislature has organized at the next Regular or Special
Session, to be reconsidered in order to determine whether the veto is sustained or
overridden.
