(b) (1) Except as provided in subsections (f) [and], (g), AND (L) of this section,
any county or group of 2 or more counties may set an additional fee of up to $25 for each
license.
(L) IN FREDERICK COUNTY, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY
SET AN ADDITIONAL FEE, IN AN AMOUNT SET BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS NOT
TO EXCEED $45, FOR EACH LICENSE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of Maryland
read as follows:

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section 2 of this Act is
contingent on the taking effect of the termination provision specified in Section 2 of
Chapter 355 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1992. If that termination provision
takes effect, Section 1 of this Act shall be void. This Act may not be interpreted to have
any effect on that termination provision.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning
Retail Service Stations - Signs
FOR the purpose of exempting, from certain local laws, signs required at retail service
stations by State or federal law providing that signs required at retail service stations by
State or federal law shall not be counted are exempt under certain circumstances under
from certain local laws; allowing local zoning authorities to regulate certain required
signs under certain circumstances; requiring that certain required signs be consistent with
