SECTION 6. 5. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, notwithstanding §
166-4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County, in April 1994, 1 member shall be
appointed to the Cecil County Ethics Commission for a 3-year term and 1 member shall
be appointed for a 4-year term to stagger the composition of the Commission.
SECTION 7. 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, notwithstanding §
57-2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County as amended by Section 1 of this
Act, members of the Cecil County Board of Parks and Recreation, other than an ex
officio member, shall be appointed for terms beginning January 1, 1997, as follows: 1
member three members for a 1-year term; 2 members for a 2-year term; 2 members for
a 3-year 2-year term; and 2 members (including the member selected by the Board of
Education) for a 4-year 3-year term to stagger the terms of the Board.
SECTION 8. 7. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms altered by
this Act shall only affect members appointed on or after July 1, 1993 and members serving
before July 1, 1993 shall serve their original terms.
SECTION 9. 8. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1993.

AN ACT concerning
Visitation Rights - Grandparents
FOR the purpose of broadening the authority of an equity court to grant visitation rights
to certain grandparents, subject to certain conditions and limitations clarifying the
rights of grandparents to petition for and the power of an equity court to grant
certain visitation rights under certain circumstances; and generally relating to
visitation rights of certain grandparents under certain circumstances grandparents.
