Article 66B - Zoning and Planning

3.02.

(b) The following counties are excepted from the provisions of subsection (a) to
the extent provided in this subsection:

(4) (I) IN CECIL COUNTY, THE PLANNING COMMISSION HAS SIX
REGULAR MEMBERS AND ONE ALTERNATE MEMBER.

(II) MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION SERVE FOR 4 YEAR
3-YEAR STAGGERED TERMS.

(II) (III) AT THE END OF A TERM, AN APPOINTED MEMBER
CONTINUES TO SERVE UNTIL A SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED AND QUALIFIES.

(III) (IV) AN EX OFFICIO MEMBER SERVES A TERM CONCURRENT
WITH THE MEMBER'S TERM OF OFFICE.

(IV) (V) A MEMBER WHO IS APPOINTED AFTER A TERM HAS
BEGUN SERVES ONLY FOR THE REST OF THE TERM AND UNTIL A SUCCESSOR IS
APPOINTED AND QUALIFIES.

(B-3) (1) NOTWITHSTANDING SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION, IN CECIL
COUNTY, THE BOARD HAS FIVE REGULAR MEMBERS AND ONE ALTERNATE MEMBER.

(2) BOARD MEMBERS SERVE FOR 4-YEAR 3-YEAR STAGGERED TERMS.

(2) (3) AT THE END OF A TERM, A MEMBER CONTINUES TO SERVE
UNTIL A SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED AND QUALIFIES.

(3) (4) A MEMBER WHO IS APPOINTED AFTER A TERM HAS BEGUN
SERVES ONLY FOR THE REST OF THE TERM AND UNTIL A SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED
AND QUALIFIES.

Article 8 - Cecil County

57-2.

The Board shall consist of eight (8) members, appointed by the Board of County
Commissioners, of whom each Commissioner shall appoint two (2). One (1) member shall
be appointed by the Board of Education. The Board of County Commissioners shall
annually select, from its membership, an ex officio member for this Board, who shall serve
without voting privileges.

All members of the Board, with the exception of the ex officio member, shall be
appointed for [four (4) years] 3-YEAR STAGGERED TERMS from the first day of
January of the year of their appointments or until their successors are appointed.
Vacancies, except those at the expiration of a term, shall be filled in the same manner as
the original appointments and for the unexpired term. All members of the Board shall
serve without compensation, except that they may be reimbursed for necessary and
proper expenses incurred while performing their duties thereon.
