(C)  LAND SURVEYOR.

"LAND SURVEYOR" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO PRACTICES LAND
SURVEYING.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to

allow concise and consistent reference to an

individual who practices land surveying, whether or
not qualified to do so.

Former Art. 56, § 330(c), which defined "[l]and
surveyor" as an individual who is qualified to
practice land surveying, is revised in subsection (g)
of this section, as the defined term "practice land
surveying". See also subsection (i) of this section,
which defines "professional land surveyor".

Defined term: "Practice land surveying" § 15-101

(D)  LICENSE.

(1)  "LICENSE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES
OTHERWISE, A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE:

(I)  LAND SURVEYING; OR

(II)  PROPERTY LINE SURVEYING.

(2)  "LICENSE" INCLUDES, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES

OTHERWISE:

SURVEYING;

(I)  A LICENSE TO PRACTICE LAND SURVEYING;

(II)  A LICENSE TO PRACTICE PROPERTY LINE

(III) A LIMITED LICENSE ISSUED UNDER § 15-316
OF THIS TITLE; AND

OF THIS TITLE.

(IV) A TEMPORARY LICENSE ISSUED UNDER § 15-317

REVISOR'S NOTE: Paragraph (1) of this subsection is new
language added to avoid repetition of phrases such as
"license to practice land surveying" or "license to
practice property line surveying".

Paragraph (2) of this subsection is new language added
to provide a specific listing of the different
licenses included under the defined term.
