(e) An applicant for a limited license to provide wig
styling services shall:
(3) have received training by:
(i) [successfully completing a required program
in providing wig styling services in a cosmetology school that
holds a school permit; or
(ii)] serving as a registered apprentice for at
least 6 months, in a beauty salon that holds a beauty salon
permit and under the supervision of a licensed cosmetologist or a
holder of a limited license to provide wig styling services; OR
(II) SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETING A REQUIRED PROGRAM
IN PROVIDING WIG STYLING SERVICES IN A COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL THAT:
1. HOLDS A SCHOOL PERMIT; OR
2. HOLDS A PERMIT ISSUED BY ANOTHER STATE
IF THE STATE HAS STANDARDS SUBSTANTIALLY EQUIVALENT TO OR MORE
STRINGENT THAN THE STANDARDS UNDER §§ 5-512 AND 5-513 OF THIS
TITLE.
(F) IF AN APPLICANT HAS BEEN ENROLLED IN A COSMETOLOGY
SCHOOL THAT THE OFFICE OF DEPENDENTS' EDUCATION OF THE UNITED
STATES DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE OPERATES, THE BOARD SHALL GIVE THE
APPLICANT CREDIT ON AN HOUR-FOR-HOUR BASIS TOWARDS MEETING THE
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS OF SUBSECTION (C)(3)(II), (D)(2)(II), OR
(E)(3)(II) OF THIS SECTION.
5-317.
(a) The Board shall reinstate the license of an individual
who, for any reason, has failed to renew the license if the
individual:
(1) applies to the Board for reinstatement within 5
years after the license expires; [and]
(2) meets the renewal requirements of § 5-316 of this
subtitle; AND
(3) PAYS TO THE BOARD A REINSTATEMENT FEE OF $50, IN
ADDITION TO THE RENEWAL FEE REQUIRED UNDER § 5-316 OF THIS
SUBTITLE.
(b) If an individual has failed to renew a license for any
reason and then applies to the Board for reinstatement more than
5 years after the license has expired, the Board shall reinstate
the license only if the individual:
