(b) A member of the Commission:

(1)  may not receive compensation; but

(2)   is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under
the Standard State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State
budget.

(a)  With the approval of the [Secretary] DIRECTOR of
[State] Planning, the Commission may establish subcommittees.

(b)  The Commission may delegate any function of the
Commission to a subcommittee.

(c)  The chairman may appoint to a subcommittee any
individual specially qualified in matters to be considered by the
subcommittee.

(d)  Unless authorized by a majority vote of the Commission
and approved by the [Secretary] DIRECTOR of [State] Planning, the
number of members of the subcommittee who are not members of the
Commission shall be less than the number of members of the
subcommittee who are members of the Commission.

(e)  Each member of a subcommittee is entitled to
reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel
Regulations, as provided in the State budget.

(a) The Commission shall advise and report to the

[Secretary] DIRECTOR of [State] Planning on any matter the

[Secretary] DIRECTOR of [State] Planning submits to it,
including:

(1)  the State Development Plan;

(2)  current operations and activities of the
[Department] OFFICE;

(3)   the needs of the State for further development;

(4)  the establishment of regional planning areas;

(5)  the effectiveness of the [Department] OFFICE and
its planning activities; and

(6)  public awareness and understanding of the
objectives and functions of State and local planning.
