AN ACT concerning
Cecil County - Roads and Bridges
FOR the purpose of altering the manner in which the Board of
County Commissioners for Cecil County supervises county
roads and bridges; requiring the Board to have control and
jurisdiction over the county roads and bridges, as a Board;
repealing certain provisions of law relating to the division
of the jurisdiction over county roads and bridges by
commissioner district; requiring the Board to provide for
inspection of any construction or repairs of county roads
and bridges in a timely manner; prohibiting the Board from
approving certain bills for construction or repairs until
there is full compliance with a contract; and generally
relating to the supervision of roads and bridges in Cecil
County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 8 - Cecil County
1-17.
(a) Any expenditure made under this section is subject to
the provisions of Section 37A of Article 25 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland.
[(b) For the purpose of the supervision of the public roads
and bridges in Cecil County, each county commissioner shall have
control and jurisdiction over the commissioner district for which
the commissioner is elected, subject to the regulations and
restrictions provided in this section and any other applicable
law.
(1) Except as provided in paragraphs (2) and (3) of
this subsection, a commissioner shall be. limited in his
expenditures on the roads and bridges in any 1 year in the
commissioner's district to one-third of the amount levied for
