Article 8 - Public Local Laws of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 10 - Attorney at Law and Attorney in Fact

40.

(h)(1) (I) In Cecil County, the State's Attorney's salary
is [$38,500] $56,000 $52,000 a year and he may serve part time.
In addition to the compensation provided for in this section, the
State's Attorney for the operation of his office and the
performance of his duties, shall be entitled to a reasonable
expense allowance which shall be provided for in the Cecil
County budget.

(II) IN ADDITION, THE STATE'S ATTORNEY SHALL
RECEIVE THE BENEFITS AND REIMBURSEMENTS FOR REASONABLE EXPENSES
IN THE PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES AS PROVIDED IN THE CECIL COUNTY
BUDGET OR BY LAW, INCLUDING, WHERE APPROPRIATE.

1. REIMBURSEMENTS UNDER THE STANDARD

STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS; AND

2. PARTICIPATION IN THE HEALTH CARE PLAN
THAT IS NEGOTIATED FOR COUNTY EMPLOYEES.

Article 25 - County Commissioners

51.

(u) (1) The salary of the county treasurer of Cecil County
is [$34,000] $50,000 $48,000. The treasurer may not receive any
other income for performing the duties of his office.

(2) In addition to any salary and expenses provided
to the treasurer by law, the treasurer is eligible to participate
in the health care plan that is negotiated for county employees.
IN ADDITION, THE COUNTY TREASURER SHALL RECEIVE THE BENEFITS AND
REIMBURSEMENTS FOR REASONABLE EXPENSES IN THE PERFORMANCE OF
DUTIES AS PROVIDED IN THE CECIL COUNTY BUDGET OR BY LAW,
INCLUDING, WHERE APPROPRIATE:

(I)  REIMBURSEMENTS UNDER THE STANDARD STATE
TRAVEL REGULATIONS; AND

(II)  PARTICIPATION IN THE HEALTH CARE PLAN THAT
IS NEGOTIATED FOR COUNTY EMPLOYEES.
