Ch. 89 LAWS OF MARYLAND
(1987 Replacement Volume and 1988 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 25 - County Commissioners
51.
(a) The county treasurers of the several counties of the
State shall receive annually the respective salaries herewith set
forth for performing the duties required of them by their
respective public local laws and by the public general laws of
the State:
(1) The county treasurer of Dorchester County shall receive
an annual salary of [$25,000] $30,000.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or
compensation of the County Treasurer of Dorchester County in
office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of
this Act concerning the salary or compensation of the County
Treasurer of Dorchester County shall take effect at the beginning
of the next following term of office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.

Annual Curative Bill
FOR the purpose of generally curing previous Acts of the General
Assembly enacted with possible title or function paragraph
defects; clarifying language relating to the authority of
certain counties to adopt certain regulations to provide for
the administration of the hotel rental tax; requiring a
court, as a condition of a probation before judgment for
certain alcohol- and drug-related driving offenses, to
