LAWS OF MARYLAND

(b)  It shall be unlawful for any druggist or apothecary
using or dispensing alcoholic beverages under the provisions of
this article to use [to] OR dispense any such beverages except
those purchased from the liquor control board for Montgomery
County. If any person, persons, house, company, association or
body corporate shall violate any of the provisions of this
subsection, he, she, it or they, shall, upon each and every
conviction, forfeit and pay a fine of not less than one hundred
dollars ($100.00) nor more than two thousand dollars ($2,000.00),
and the cost of prosecution and be confined in the Maryland House
of Correction for not less than three months nor more than two
years or both fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the
court.

Occurred: Prior to 1957 codification of the Annotated
Code of Maryland.

(p) In Montgomery County, each member of the board of
license commissioners shall receive [three thousand dollars
($3,000.00)] $6,000 per annum.

DRAFTER'S NOTE:

Error: Publishing omission in Article 2B, § 155(p).

Occurred: Increase was effected by Ch. 84, Acts of
1986, but was omitted from the 1987 Replacement Volume
to Volume 1 of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

158.

(c)  The inspectors appointed for Allegany County shall have
all the powers of a peace officer or a constable or sheriff of
the State of Maryland, and shall make oath to faithfully perform
the duties entrusted to them, as provided in [Article 1, § 6]
ARTICLE I, § 9 of the Constitution of the State of Maryland, and
they shall furnish bond in the penalty of $2,000.00 to the board
of alcoholic beverages license commissioners of Allegany County
and the Board of County Commissioners of Allegany County jointly,
conditioned, "that said inspectors shall well and faithfully
execute the said office in all things appertaining [thereto."]
THERETO". The cost of said bond shall be paid by the County
Commissioners of Allegany County. The inspectors for Allegany
County shall be known as "alcoholic beverage inspectors for
Allegany [County."] COUNTY".
