VETOES

(C) THE STATE BOARD FOR HIGHER EDUCATION SHALL REPORT
ANNUALLY TO THE LEGISLATIVE POLICY COMMITTEE ON THE TOTAL NUMBER
OF PARTICIPANTS IN THE TUITION REDUCTION PROGRAM AND THE STATUS
OF GRADUATES WITH AN OUTSTANDING OBLIGATION FOR WORK WITHIN THE
STATE OR REPAYMENT OF TUITION REDUCTION UNDER THIS SECTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 1155.

This bill alters the membership of the Joint Committee on
Administrative, Executive, and Legislative Review.

Senate Bill 486, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 17, 1988, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 1155.
