AN ACT concerning

Confidentiality of Records - Maryland Institute for
Emergency Medical Services Systems

FOR the purpose of including the Maryland Institute for Emergency
Medical Services Systems and certain committees of the
Institute within current provisions of the law that protect
the confidentiality of records of organizations and protect
the persons who provide this information to certain
organizations from liability under certain circumstances;
making inadmissible in evidence certain records of the
Institute; making the Institute's records confidential under
certain circumstances; including certain committees of the
Institute within the definition of a medical review
committee; exempting certain committees of the Institute
from civil liability for providing certain health care
entities with certain information under certain
circumstances; protecting certain persons who provide
certain information to the Institute from liability under
certain circumstances; defining a term; making certain
technical changes; and generally relating to the
confidentiality of records of the Maryland Institute for
Emergency Medical Services Systems.
