CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2-86

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWIE, MARYLAND
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article HE of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 12 of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as Amended) to amend
Section 6, entitled "Meetings" of the Charter of the City of
Bowie to conform said Charter to Section 10-508 of the Md. State
Government Code Ann., (1984 Edition, Cum. Supp. 1985) to permit
the Council to meet in closed session or adjourn an open session
to a closed session for certain specific purposes, including
discussion of personnel matters, consultation with the City
Attorney, collective bargaining negotiations, and the like, by
repealing and re-enacting with amendments said Section 6.

George's County, as found in the compilation of Municipal
Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and reenacted, with
amendments.
