EXECUTIVE ORDERS

WHEREAS, The Governor has the power under Article II, Section 24
of the Maryland Constitution and Section 8-301 of the State
Government Article to order, not inconsistent with law, such
reorganizations as he may deem necessary and desirable.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE
OF MARYLAND, BY VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE
CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF MARYLAND, HEREBY PROMULGATE THE
FOLLOWING ORDER AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER 01.01.1986.15:

[1.] A. There is a Governor's Committee on Employment of
the Handicapped WITHIN THE OFFICE FOR HANDICAPPED
INDIVIDUALS IN THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF THE GOVERNMENT.

[2.] B. The Governor's Committee on Employment of the
Handicapped is affiliated with the President's Committee on
Employment of the Handicapped located in Washington, D.C.[,
and is affiliated with Maryland State government as a
miscellaneous agency housed within the Division of
Vocational Rehabilitation, Maryland State Department of
Education.]

C. STAFF SUPPORT FOR THE GOVERNOR'S COMMITTEE ON EMPLOYMENT
OF THE HANDICAPPED SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THE OFFICE FOR
HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS.

[3.] D. The membership of the Committee shall consist of a
total of 35 members including one representative from:

[(a)]   (1)     State Division of Vocational Rehabilitation

[(b)]   (2)     State Department of Human Resources

[(c)]   (3)     State Department of Personnel

[(d)]   (4)     State Department of Education

[(e)]   (5)     Executive Department Office for Handicapped
Individuals

[(f)]   (6)     State Senate

[(g)]   (7)     State House of Delegates

[(h)]   (8)     State Department of Transportation

[(i)]   (9)     State Department of Economic and Community
Development

[(j)]   (10)     State Department of Health and Mental
Hygiene
