[Article - Health - General]

[6-104.] 2-106.

There is a State Advisory Board [of Juvenile Services] FOR
JUVENILE SERVICES in the [Administration] AGENCY.

[6-105.] 2-107.

(a)  (1) The State Advisory Board consists of 18 members
appointed by the [Secretary] GOVERNOR.

(2) Of the 18 State Advisory Board members:

(i) 1 shall be a representative of the
[Department at large] AGENCY;

(ii) 1 shall be a representative of the [Mental
Hygiene Administration] DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE;

(iii) 1 shall be a representative of the State
Department of Education;

(iv) 1 shall be a representative of the
Maryland State Police;

(v) 1 shall be a representative of the State
Social Services Administration;

(vi) 1 shall be a representative of a voluntary
child welfare agency;

(vii) 3 shall be representatives of the State
judiciary; and

(viii) 9 shall be from the general public.

(VIII) 2 SHALL BE REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY WITH ONE RECOMMENDED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE
SENATE AND ONE RECOMMENDED BY THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE; AND

(IX) 7 SHALL BE FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC:

(b)  Of the 9 7 members from the general public:

(1)  3 shall be chosen on the basis of their interest
in and experience with minors and juvenile problems;

(2)  3 shall:

(i) Be, at the time of appointment to a first
term, 16 years old or older and under the age of 25 years; and
