(7) A pyrophoric chemical, meaning a chemical that
will ignite spontaneously in air at a temperature of 130 degrees
Fahrenheit or below;
(8) An unstable reactive chemical, meaning a chemical
which, in the pure state, or as produced or transported, will
vigorously polymerize, decompose, condense, or will become
self-reactive under conditions of shocks, pressure, or
temperature; or
(9) A water reactive chemical, meaning a chemical
that reacts with water to release a gas that is either flammable
or presents a health hazard.

(A) ON OR BEFORE JULY 1, 1987, A DISTRIBUTOR, MANUFACTURER,
RETAILER, OR OTHER EMPLOYER SHALL:
(1) COMPILE INITIAL CHEMICAL INFORMATION LISTS BASED
ON INFORMATION AVAILABLE ON OR BEFORE JUNE 30, 1987; AND
(2) SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT THE INITIAL CHEMICAL
INFORMATION LISTS AND ANY MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS THAT ARE
AVAILABLE ON OR BEFORE JUNE 30, 1987. EMPLOYERS IN THE
MANUFACTURING SECTOR, AS PROVIDED UNDER THE STANDARD INDUSTRIAL
CLASSIFICATION CODES 20 THROUGH 39 OF THE FEDERAL HAZARDS
COMMISSION STANDARDS, SHALL COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF 29 CFR
1910.1200 ON OR BEFORE MAY 25, 1986.
(B) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (A) OF THIS SECTION,
EMPLOYERS SHALL COMPLY WITH ALL OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBTITLE ON OR BEFORE JULY 1, 1987 MARCH 1, 1987.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of
all the members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.
