shall be expended for the purposes provided in this Act. If this
evidence is not presented by June 1, 1988, the proceeds of the
loan shall be applied to the purposes authorized in § 8-129 of
the State Finance and Procurement Article.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall

take effect June 1, 1986.

AN ACT concerning

Creation of a State Debt - Community Hospital and
Health Care System, Inc. Prince George's General Hospital and

Medical Center

FOR

the purpose of authorizing the creation of a State Debt in

the amount of $4,845,000 $1,550,000 $1,000,000, the proceeds
to be used as a grant to Community Hospital and Health Care
System, Inc. the County Executive and County Council of
Prince George's County for the purpose of the construction,
improvement, renovation, modernization, and equipping of the
Prince George's General Hospital and Medical Center's
Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation,
Department of Respiratory Therapy, Laboratory, Central
Sterile Processing Department, and the Emergency Room that
support and are essential to the delivery of emergency
medicine at the Shock Trauma Center at the Prince George's
General Hospital and Medical Center and for the purpose of

the construction, modernization, improvement, renovation,
and equipping of the Labor and Delivery and Nursery Suites
at the Prince George's General Hospital and Medical Center,

subject to the requirement that the County Executive and
County Council of Prince George's County provide at least an
equal and matching fund of a certain kind for the same
purpose by a certain date and present certain evidence to
the Board of Public Works regarding a certain certificate of
need; and providing generally for the issue and sale of
bonds evidencing the loan.

SECTION 1.
MARYLAND, That:

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and incur
indebtedness on behalf of the State of Maryland through a State
loan to be known as the Community Hospital and Health Care
