     233                              August Court 1717
   Saith that Whereas the afd Deft the twenty Eight day of December
   in the Year of our Lord Christ Seventeen hundred and fifteen at
   St. Pauls Parish in Kent County in Maryland within the Jurisdiciõn of
   this Court by his Certain Bill obligatory which he the Said Deft~
   Sealed with his Seale and as his deed delivered hereinto Court brought
   the date whereof is the Same day and Year afd bound himselfe his
   Heires Execrs. Admrs. or Assignes to pay or cause to be paid to the
   afd Plt. the afd full and just Summe of Two pounds Currant money
   of America at or before the tenth day of August next Ensuing the
   date of the Said Bill Obligatory Yett the afd Deft altho’ often-
   required the afd two pounds Currant money of America to the
   Said Plt hath not paid nor cause to be paid but that to —
   him to render or pay or cause to be paid the Said Deft~ hath
   hitherto denied and Yett doth deny to the Damage of the
   afd Plt~ Tenn Shillings of like Currant money afd and —
   thereupon he brings Sute &ca. TBowne pr Querr Pledgs &ca.
   John Doe    & Richard Roe ———
   and the afd Plt. by his attry afd Prays that he may be
   admitted as Surety for the Cost in ye afd Accõn if the afd Deft
   Should app.r to the Same and ye Plt Should be Cast the Same
   was Granted And the Said Thomas Bowne came and —
   Siath that if the afd Plt Should be Cast in the Said Accõn
   he will pay the Cost thereof to the Said Deft~ the Plt~ -
   being a person that doth not Inhabit In this County .
     And the Said Plt by his attry afd prays that the Said Deft
   may give Special baile to the afd Accõn which is granted and
   that he be kept in Safe Custody untill he Should give Special baile
   to the Said Accon- :
                                   After which the Said Deft came into Court
   and in his proper person appeared to the Same Accõn and Saith
   that he Cannott gainsay the Accõn afd of him the Said Pltf
   nor but that the writing obligatory afd above mentioned is
   his Act and deed and that he oweth unto the afd Plt as -
   above mentioned and is willing that Judgment Should be
                                                                                      entred
