   ninety and eight pounds of Merchantable Tobacco of ye price of Sixty Shillings
   Sterling money which he unjustly detains &ca And that he have then
   and there the Said writ &ca   Att which Said next Court vizt. the —
   nineteenth day of March the Same Year last mentioned the day of—
   return of Said writ came William Frisby Gent high Sherf of Sd
   County and made return thereof in these words thereon endorsed at
   folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr William Ffrisby Sherf
      And A Decln being filed in Said Accõn and a Copy thereof Served
   therew.th according to Act of Assembly in Such Cases made was as
   folls   Kent County Ss John Burk of Kent County Planter was Sumoned to
   Answer unto James Harris late Sherf of Kent County afd of a plea that
   he render to him ye Sume of Six hundred ninety & Eight pounds of
   Merchantable Tobacco fo the price of Sixty Shillings Sterling money
   which he unjustly detains &ca And whereupon ye afd James by Thomas
   Bowne his attry Saith that whereas the afd John ye Second day of .
   March Anno Domini Seventeen hundred & thirteen at St. Pauls —
   Parish in Kent County afd within ye Jurisdiciõn of this Court had
   accounted with ye afd James of divers Sums of Tob.o to the Said James
   by the Said John before that time for fees and publick Leveys owing
   and unpaid and upon that Accounting the afd John was found in—
   arrearage towards the afd James in Six hundred ninety and eight
   pounds of Merchantable Tobacco of the price of Sixty Shillings -
   Sterling money by which Accõn hath arcrew’d to the Said James to
   Exact & have of the afd John ye afd Six hundred ninety & Eight pounds
   of Tobacco Yet the afd John altho’ often required the afd Six hundred
   ninety & Eight pounds of Tob.o to the Said James hath not rendered
   but that to render the Said John hitherto hath denied and yet denys
   and unjustly detains to the damage of ye Said James one hundred ——
   Shillings Sterling money and thereupon he brings Sute &ca TBowne pr
   qr. Plegs &ca. John Doe & Rd Roe . And the Deft being called came
   And the Said Plt by his attry afd prays that the Said Deft may give .
   Speciall baile to the above accõn which is granted and that he be—
   kept in Safe Custody by the Sherf of Said County untill he Shall give .
   Speciall baile as afd: after which William Woodland of Said County
   comes into Court and acknowledges himselfe as Speciall baile in the
   above Accõn And doth under take for the Said Deft the payment
   of the Debt afd and Cost accruing if the Said Plt Shall obtaine
   Judgment against the Said Deft~ in the afd Accon and the
