                                         March Court 1715
   of this Court In Consideration thereof upon himselfe assumed & to ye
   Said James then & there last Said faithfully Promised that he the Sd
   Christopher ye afd thirteen hundred and fourteen pounds of Tobacco
   [u]nto ye Said James when thereunto required would well & truly pay
   [&] Content   Nevertheless ye afd Christopher his promise & assumption
   afd informe afd made he hath not minded nor Kept but although
   ye Said Christopher hath paid & Satisfied to him ye Sd James five hundred
   & Sixteen pounds of Tobacco of ye afd thirteen hundred & fourteen pounds
   of Tobacco part Yet ye afd Christopher his promise & assumption afd as to
   the Sum of Seven hundred ninety & Eight pounds of Tobacco of ye afd
   thirteen hundred & fourteen pounds of Tobacco residue litle regarding
   but fraudulently Intending ye Said James of ye afd Seven hundred ninety
   & Eight pounds of Tobacco Craftily to deceive & defraud ye Sd Seven hundred
   ninety & Eight pounds of Tobacco to him ye Said James altho’ afterwards
   vizt. ye twenty third day of 10.ber(& often after) Anno Domini Seventeen—
   hundred & fourteen he was at ye Parish of St Paul in Kent County afd in
   ye Jurisdiciõn afd thereto required hath not paid nor made Content for
   ye Same but ye Same to pay ye Sd Christopher hitherto hath denied &
   yet denys to ye damage of ye Said James fifteen hundred pounds of Tobacco
   & thereupon he brings Sute &ca. TBowne pr Quer plegs &ca. Jno Doe &
