Prince George's County Assignment Office - Transfer to
Court Administrator the Office of the Director of Assignments
FOR the purpose of adding a certain provision of law relating to
the Prince George's County Assignment Office in order to
transfer the responsibilities and functions of the Prince
George's County Assignment Office from the Clerk of the
Court to the Administrative Office of the establishing the
Office of the Director of Assignments of the Circuit Court
in Prince George's County; requiring the Clerk of the Court
in Prince George's County to collect transmit all appearance
fees for certain purposes; providing for the transfer, from
the Prince George's County Assignment Office to the Office
of the Director of Assignments of the Circuit Court in
Prince George's County, of responsibilities and functions,
certain employees, equipment and furniture, and records and
accounts; generally relating to the transfer of the
responsibilities and functions of the Prince George's County
Assignment Office from the Clerk of the Circuit Court to the
Administrative Office of the Office of the Director of
Assignments of the Circuit Court in Prince George's County;
and making provisions of this Act severable.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

13-102.
(C) IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, IN COOPERATION WITH THE
OFFICE OF THE CLERK OF THE COURT, THE ADMINISTRATOR SHALL PERFORM
THE DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE ASSIGNMENT OFFICE, INCLUDING THE
SCHEDULING OF JUVENILE MATTERS AND CIVIL, CRIMINAL, AND DOMESTIC
RELATIONS CASES.

(A) IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, THERE IS THE OFFICE OF THE
DIRECTOR OF ASSIGNMENTS OF THE CIRCUIT COURT.
(B) THE OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR OF ASSIGNMENTS OF THE
CIRCUIT COURT SHALL:
(1) SCHEDULE ALL JUVENILE MATTERS, CIVIL, CRIMINAL,
AND DOMESTIC RELATIONS CASES, AND ALL OTHER PROCEEDINGS BEFORE
THE CIRCUIT COURT; AND
