(A)   IN GENERAL.

IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language used as the
standard introductory language to a definition
section.

(B)  HOUSE.

"HOUSE" MEANS THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES OF MARYLAND.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to
avoid repetition of the longer terms "House of
Delegates" and "House of Delegates of Maryland".

(C)  PRESIDENT.

"PRESIDENT" MEANS THE PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to
avoid repetition of the longer title "President of the
Senate".

(D)   SENATE.

"SENATE" MEANS THE SENATE OF MARYLAND.

Maryland".

(E)   SPEAKER.

"SPEAKER" MEANS THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added to
avoid repetition of the longer titles "Speaker of the
House" and "Speaker of the House of Delegates".

(F)   STANDING COMMITTEE.
"STANDING COMMITTEE" MEANS:

(1)  A STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE SENATE, AS SET FORTH
IN THE SENATE RULES; OR

(2)  A STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE HOUSE, AS SET FORTH
IN THE HOUSE RULES.
