COUNTY LOCAL LAWS

AN ACT to add new Article III, heading, Development
Districts, Tax Increment Financing, to Chapter XI, Finance and
Taxation, of the Harford County Code, as amended; to provide for
the establishment of commercial, industrial and residential
development districts; to provide for administrative procedures
establishing said districts; and to generally provide for the
establishment of development districts in Harford County.

Effective Date February 10, 1984.

HOWARD COUNTY

Bill No. 1 (amended)

AN ACT repealing and re-enacting Subtitle 1 "Purchasing" of
Title 4 "Contracts, Purchasing and Property" of the Howard County
Code in order to improve language, consolidate similar
provisions, delete unnecessary language, increase certain amounts
of money, shorten certain time periods, and generally clarify the
Purchasing Code.

Effective Date April 15, 1983.

Bill No. 2

AN ACT repealing and re-enacting Subtitle 2 "Human Rights
Commission" of Title 12 "Health and Human Services" of the Howard
County Code expanding the public policy provisions, adding
certain definitions, changing certain duties and functions of the
Human Rights Commission, the Office of Human Rights and the Board
of Appeals, revising the hearing and appeal processes, clarifying
language and generally relating to human rights proceedings.

Effective Date May 9, 1983.

Bill No. 3

AN ACT adding Section 18.125 "Removal of parcel(s) from
Metropolitan District" to Title 18 "Public Works" of the Howard
County Code to permit the removal of property from the
Metropolitan District upon the acquisition of an agricultural
land preservation easement by the Maryland Agricultural Land
Preservation Foundation, upon the acquisition of development
rights by Howard County, or upon the fee simple acquisition of
the property for agricultural preservation by Howard County and
concerning re-entry into the Metropolitan District under certain
circumstances.
