AMENDMENT TO THE EXECUTIVE ORDER
ON THE
COMMISSION ON COMPENSATION AND PERSONNEL POLICIES
WHEREAS, Executive Order 01.01.1979.16 created the Governor's
Commission on Compensation and Personnel Policies which is
composed of members of the General Assembly, the Executive
Branch, and the private sector; and
WHEREAS, It is desirable to expand the membership of the
Commission by adding one additional representative of the
private sector;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, HARRY HUGHES, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF
MARYLAND, BY VIRTUE OF THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE
CONSTITUTION AND LAWS OF MARYLAND, HEREBY AMEND AND
REPROMULGATE EXECUTIVE ORDER 01.01.1979.16 BY MEANS OF THIS
EXECUTIVE ORDER.
Section 1. Paragraph 2 of Executive Order 01.01.1979.16 is
amended to read as follows:
2. The Commission consists of [nine] ELEVEN members
appointed by the Governor, two of whom shall be
members of the Senate recommended by the
President of the Senate, two of whom shall be
members of the House of Delegates recommended by
the Speaker of the House, the Secretary of
Personnel, the Secretary of Budget and Fiscal
Planning, and [four] FIVE shall be from the
private sector. The Governor shall designate
the Chairperson;
Section 2. Executive Order 01.01.1979.16, as amended by
Section 1 of this Executive Order, is
repromulgated in its entirety.
