or maintains common elements which would otherwise be the
responsibility of county government.

House Bill 173, which was passed by the General Assembly and
signed by me on May 8, 1984, accomplishes the same purpose.
Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 602.

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore County - Property Tax Credits - Condominiums

FOR the purpose of permitting the Baltimore County Council to
grant a credit against Baltimore County property taxes to
certain condominium units under certain circumstances.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

Section 9C(e)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1980 Replacement Volume and 1983 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

9C.

(e) In Baltimore County:

(1)  Real property owned by the Harford Park
Improvement Association of Baltimore County, Inc.;

(2)  Real and tangible personal property owned by the
Lynch Point Improvement Association, Inc., of River Drive in
Baltimore County, and used exclusively for community or civic
purposes;

(3)  The County Council, by ordinance or resolution,
may grant a credit against local taxation only for real property
owned by the Twin River Protective and Improvement Association,
Inc.;
