3906                                                        VETOES

1. 2 members of the Senate of Maryland, appointed by
the President of the Senate;

2. 2 members of the House of Delegates, appointed by
the Speaker of the House;

3. 2 members appointed by the Chief Judge of the
Court of Appeals;

4. 2 members appointed by the Chief Judge of the Tax
Court;

5. 6 members appointed by the Governor, as follows:

(a) 2 members of the Maryland Bar Association,
Tax Division;

(b) 1 member of the Maryland Chamber of
Commerce;

(c) 1 member from the Comptroller's Office;

(d) 1 member from the State Department of
Assessments and Taxation; and

(e) The Clerk of the Court, Tax Court.

d. At least 1 member of the Task Force shall be a member of
the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee.

e. At least 1 member of the Task Force shall be a member of
the House Judiciary Committee.

f. The Governor shall appoint a chairman and vice-chairman
from the members of the Task Force.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That:

a. The members of the Task Force shall not receive
compensation but shall be reimbursed for their reasonable
expenses incurred in the performance of their duties, in
accordance with the Standard State Travel Regulations.

b. Staffing shall be provided by the Department of
Legislative Reference.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That all members of
the Task Force shall be appointed on or before July 31, 1984; and
that the Task Force shall study and issue a report of its
findings and recommendations to the Governor by January 1, 1985,
on which day the Task Force shall terminate.
