Planning AND TO THE JOINT BUDGET AND AUDIT COMMITTEE OF THE
GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, for Fiscal Year
1985, up to $75,000 of the amount appropriated to the Maryland
State Firemen's Association may be used for the purposes
contained in Article 38A, Section 46B of the Code.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, the Department
of Budget and Fiscal Planning shall report to the Governor and
the General Assembly on or before December 30, 1986 on the
administration of the Emergency Assistance Trust Fund.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning
Unemployment Insurance - Maximum Benefit Amount , and
Contributions and Additional Benefits
FOR the purpose of increasing the maximum weekly benefit amount;
limiting the surtax for State fiscal year 1985; providing
for an increase in the adjustment to an employer's basic
rate if the Unemployment Insurance Trust Fund on any day
falls below a certain amount; making permanent the
Additional Benefits Program; and limiting the payment of
additional benefits to intrastate claimants and generally
relating to unemployment insurance.
