ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor                             Ch. 426 (1) FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006, THE AMOUNT PROVIDED TO THE FUND
UNDER SUBSECTION (F)(1) OF THIS SECTION SHALL CONSIST OF $800,000 OF ANY
REVENUE RECEIVED IN EXCESS OF $8.5 MILLION; AND
(2) FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007 AND EACH SUBSEQUENT FISCAL YEAR, THE
AMOUNT PROVIDED TO THE FUND UNDER SUBSECTION (F)(1) OF THIS SECTION
SHALL CONSIST OF $1 MILLION.
(II) THE FUND MAY BE USED ONLY FOR THE OPERATION OF THE MARYLAND
MEDBANK PROGRAM.
(I) (1) THE TREASURER SHALL INVEST THE MONEY OF THE FUND IN THE
SAME MANNER AS OTHER STATE MONEY MAY BE INVESTED.
(2) ANY INVESTMENT EARNINGS OF THE FUND SHALL BE PAID INTO
THE FUND.
(J) SUBJECT TO THE BUDGET AMENDMENT PROCEDURE PROVIDED FOR IN §
7-209 OF THE STATE FINANCE AND PROCUREMENT ARTICLE, EXPENDITURES FROM
THE FUND MAY BE MADE ONLY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATE BUDGET.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2005. Approved May 10, 2005.

(House Bill 1273) AN ACT concerning Task Force on the Needs of Persons with Co-Occurring Mental Health and
Substance Use Disorders - Termination Date Extension and Modifications FOR the purpose of altering the name of the Task Force on the Needs of Persons with
Co-Occurring Mental Illness and Substance Abuse Disorders; providing for
additional members of the Task Force; authorizing the Governor to remove a
member who has had more than a certain number of absences from meetings of
the Task Force and appoint another member to that seat; providing that a
member may not be considered absent under certain circumstances; requiring
the Task Force to identify the number of African Americans and other minorities
that have co-occurring disorders
the number of disparities and make
recommendations on addressing disparities in the treatment of co-occurring
disorders in African Americans and other minorities that have co-occurring
disorders;
certain individuals; requiring the Task Force to develop a certain
protocol; requiring the Task Force to study and make recommendations on
certain decisions; requiring the Task Force to study the feasibility of creating a
certain advisory board; requiring the Task Force to submit certain reports to the
Governor and certain committees on or before certain dates; requiring the - 1971 -
