NOTE
One bill (Senate Bill 1) from the 2006 Special Session of the General Assembly
was vetoed by the Governor. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 17 of Article II of
the Maryland Constitution, a vetoed bill will not be returned to the Legislature when
a new General Assembly of Maryland has been elected and sworn since the passage of
the vetoed bill. However, if the General Assembly convenes in Special Session prior to
the election and swearing in of the newly elected members, the vetoed bills may be
reconsidered in order to determine whether the veto is sustained or overridden.
